Version 2.6: At Long Last

It's been quite a while since the last release of Project Tracker - over 21 months for those that are counting. Since that time, I had my first child, moved to Manhattan, got a new job, and have generally been super-busy.

I've been wanting to get a new release out for a while, and after much work getting the code cleaned up, bugs fixed, and a few features added, I'm happy to announce that version 2.6 is now final and available for download. It's been a long road, but this version gets things back working at 100%, and adds some cool features like Google Calendar integration thanks to some great work by Matthew Williams.

All in all, there were 38 known issues in RIAForge that were fixed and closed. The 2010 bug with FCKEditor was resolved, and the SVN errors that started appearing have now been fixed and that functionality is back at 100%.

You can download the latest zip file at http://projecttracker.riaforge.org.

Things are running nice and smooth, but please be sure to submit any issues that you may encounter!

New Beta Released - 2.5 R3

A new version of the Project Tracker beta has been released for private beta. Contact the project owner for access.

LOTS of new features and changes.. hopefully testing will go smooth and a full release will be posted soon.

Version 2.5 Update

Version 2.5 is on the way, but still working on a few last major changes before getting ready to roll things out. Sorry for the delay, but it will be worth it. There's a TON of new features in this new release - stay tuned!!

Vesion 2.4.5 Released - Final Version This Round

Version 2.4.5 is now out. It fixes a few small bugs, and adds the ability to save your login session for 2 weeks via a browser cookie.

This should be the last of the 2.4.x released, with 2.5 entering beta testing next week. Let me know if you're interested in helping to beta test the new version, which adds the ability to do billing and some other things.

There are no database changes since 2.4 so no you should be able to just replace the code and leave your config files.

Call For Beta Testers

I've been working concurrently on the new 2.5 release of Project Tracker while the issues from version 2.4+ get ironed out..

The major new feature added to this version is the ability to do billing for your clients and projects through the Project Tracker (hourly or per milestone). The other major feature is the ability to stay logged in via a cookie.

I'm looking for some users to test these new features before rolling them out to everyone to get some feedback and to catch any bugs. Please leave a comment or contact me directly if you're interested in taking part in the 2.5 BETA.

Version 2.4.4 - yet another revision

Version 2.4.4 contains some more bug fixes that needed to get in there.

  • Search page fixed
  • Issue sorting fixed
  • Issue status defaults now working on BD
  • Session timeouts now set in app - default 90 minutes (stay logged in option coming soon)
  • Auto-install now working on linux - had to fix case problems

Version 2.4.3 released

Version 2.4.3 has just been uploaded. This version fixes a couple of bugs that were sure to come up, and also adds a bit more support in the way of Oracle and Subversion.

Specifically, the svnkit library has been upgraded from 1.1.4 to 1.2.1.5297 which adds support for Subversion 1.5 repositories. Also, Steve Bryant's DataMgr, which is used for the new automated installation script, has been upgraded to 2.2 beta which adds support for Oracle as well as Derby.

The new Backup/Restore feature was using some CF8 specific features but is not any more. It should now be more compatible with earlier versions of CF.

Version 2.4.2 out

Another small bug fix in todo.cfc - forgot to remove references to svnrevision field in database.

Version 2.4.1 out already

Quick fix - one of the fields I removed in the SQL update script was still being selected in one of the queries. This should resolve the issue.

Thanks to Andrea Campolonghi for reporting the issue so quickly.
